To homeowners, their residence is a haven; a place where their valuables will be safe. With the Smart Home, the Brickcom IPcamera can be programmed to track if a valuable object is moved. The IPcamera will then trigger an alarm to sound and a snapshot of the intruder to be sent to the owner’s mobile phone or PDA.

Too many homes are subject to fire damage each year. Brickcom IPcameras can be programmed to receive a notification if a smoke detector detects smoke. Using the latest technology, the IPcam will transmit a SMS to the homeowner’s mobile phone. The homeowner can notify the proper authorities and save their home from what could be catastrophic damage.

Brickcom cameras are designed to protect all entry points of a home. When the PIR sensor detects human movement around the IPcam, a keypad to open a garage door is used, or a magnetic detector detects that a door/window has been opened, the IPcam will simultaneously begin recording the monitored area and send an SMS to the homeowners’s mobile phone. When notified of the event, the homeowner can immediately begin watching live video from a 3G mobile phone or a NB/PC using a web browser.
